In the middle of the vastness in the province of Hedmark, in the south-east of Norway and near the town of Koppang, you will find Glomma Holiday Home. The house is situated in a varied landscape with mountains, mountain plains, endless forests, lakes and with the longest river in Norway – the Glomma – within walking distance.

The surroundings of the house are suitable for all kinds of activities such as hiking in the woods and on the mountain plains, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming in the river of the nearby lakes. Animal lovers will also enjoy themselves in Hedmark. Glomma holiday home is located in the middle of Østerdalen, home of many moose, deer and the only herd of wild reindeer in Norway. In addition, bears, wolves, wolverines and lynx are sporadically spotted. Many animals like water birds, cranes, small rodents and beavers live along the river. This makes the area very attractive for nature, landscape and wildlife photographers.
A fisherman’s paradise
There are plenty of opportunities for anglers to experience exciting fishing. The Glomma near Koppang is known as one of the best rivers for catching grayling and trout. In addition, there are several smaller rivers in the area such as the Atna, Imsa and Mistra. Furthermore there are around 50 lakes and ponds in the immediate area. The fishing license for Stor-Elvdal covers approx. 80 kilometers of fishing water on both banks of the Glomma and most of the lakes in the area are included in the license. Each year many fly fishermen and spin fishermen from Norway and abroad visit the area to enjoy the surroundings and the splendid fishing.

The house: equipped with all conveniences
Glomma holiday home was built in 1955 and was completely renovated in 2019. Now it meets all contemporary requirements.
The house can accommodate up to 10 guests. Beside a modern kitchen and spacious living & dining room, there are 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, spread over 2 floors.
The modern kitchen has an induction hob, convection oven, dishwasher, large fridge with spacious freezer compartment. Of course there is more than enough crockery and cooking utensils available, including large pans for the larger groups.
At the frontside of the house is a large veranda.
This overlooks the spacious garden that faces south so that sun lovers will quickly feel at home. There is also a sitting area with an outside grill.
The house is close to the village of Koppang and is easily accessible by car and train. Travel time by car from Oslo city center takes less than 3 hours. From Oslo Airport Gardermoen you can drive to Koppang in 2.5 hours or by train in 3 hours.

How to get there:
From Oslo take highway E6 in the direction Hamar / Trondheim. After approx. 115 km turn right onto the RV3 towards Elverum. Near Elverum you follow RV3, direction Rena / Tynset. After approx. 90 kilometers, turn right onto the Fv30 towards Koppang S. After approx. 400 meters, our holiday home is on the left-hand side of the road, just before the bridge over the river Glomma.
